Michelangelo's David went on vacation
Laugh 27 August 2008After hundreds of years in the firm of Firenze (hoping not to say a Fregnaccia) and even more in the square but closed because the smog and spoil the delicate white skin, the David of Michelangelo has been on holiday in New York.
It is not know what is fact and there are photos of his stay, but was greeted with astonishment on his return to Italy.
Or rather, it has not been recognized by many as Florence's David once: the trip to the United States would have made different and distant from the canons of Florentine culture. Here is the photo that depicts the return:
